The Antalya College of Tourism combines the best traditions and a modern
approach to teaching to give our graduates confidence in their future and an
opportunity to build a successful career.
The Antalya College of Tourism is unique, in that it is the only college in
Turkey where the students study both in English and Russian. The college is
licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Education and accredited by The British
Confederation of Tourism, Hotel and Catering Management. Our college works in
accordance with the newest international standards in tourism education, as
adopted by the European Union and Turkey. Our students have an opportunity to
gain employment in a prestigious profession, obtain the Turkish Ministry of
Education diploma and an international certificate that gives them an
opportunity to work in any country in the world.
There are two main courses in the college; “Hotel management” and “Travel
management”. The reason for this is that there is a great need for qualified
specialists in the tourism sector. An increasing number of tourists are visiting
Turkey each year. Every year about 2 million tourists from Russia and more than
15 million tourists from all over the world. Since the college is located in
Antalya (“The Turkish Riviera”, a major centre of tourism and recreation ) our
students have great opportunities for improving their language skills and
building a successful career in the tourism industry in the many local hotels.
Furthermore Antalya, being a major tourism destination, provides many
recreational activities for the students to enjoy in their free time. Activities
such as rafting, swimming and visiting some of the many historical sites are but
a few examples of the many diversions available.
The College of Tourism uses a modular system of education; foreign languages
(English and Turkish) are studied thoroughly. The Hotel management and Travel
Management courses are in easily manageable modules with an exam at the end of
each module, relieving much of the stress of a final exam. The College is well
equipped with the necessary equipment for conducting both academic and practical
lessons including a computer lab for internet research and college wide wireless
access for students with laptops. For the more practical lessons there are many
hotels in the area where the students can gain hands on experience in the travel
and tourism industry.
The college collaborates with leading tour operators and hotels in Turkey and
abroad. In the summer students can gain work experience in training positions in
some of Antalya's many hotels and tour agencies. The college guarantees
placement of its graduates in the best hotels and travel agencies in Turkey and
abroad.
Antalya College Graduates have an opportunity to get an internationally
recognized Diploma from either a European, or Russian University.
