American Hotel & Lodging
Association was founded in 1910 and has already
celebrated its 100th birthday.
AH&LA is the only national organization in the
USA which represents all sectors and
stakeholders in the lodging industry, including
individual hotel property members, hotel
companies, student and faculty members, and
industry suppliers. AH&LA provides members with
national advocacy on Capitol Hill, public
relations and image management, education,
research and information, and other value-added
services to provide bottom line savings and
ensure a positive business climate for the
lodging industry.
In 1953 AH&LA founded an Educational Institute –
one of the primary sources of highly qualified
education and professional certification in the
world of hospitality. Nowadays Educational
Institute is partnered with tourism and
hospitality schools, universities, colleges and
the industry as it is worldwide.
Education is carried out with the help of
textbooks, videos, interactive and audio-visual
aids. All modules include lectures and
tutorials, as well as practical workshops in
hotels in the course of education.
Currently Educational Institute is represented
by 90 authorized centers in 54 countries of the

here). Educational programmes of EI-AH&LA
unite students from Europe, Asia, Middle East,
Africa, Latin America, who receive an EI-AH&LA
diploma and obtain a qualification that doesn’t
require confirmation in any country of the
world.
EI-AH&LA Educational Standards
Programmes, exams, and diplomas of EI-AH&LA
correspond to international management standards
in the hospitality and food and beverage
industry. First of all, EI-AH&LA education
programmes are true-to-life; students don’t only
get theoretical knowledge, but also practical
skills necessary in the hospitality industry.
Besides, all educational materials are regularly

1) “Hotel Management” Programme
Education period: 2 years
In the course of Education students get
acquainted with the main hotel departments,
their roles and functions, as well as with the
hospitality industry in general. Besides,
students take allied subjects (such as
information technologies, marketing, supervision
and human resource management, etc.), knowledge
of which they require for a successful career in
hospitality sector.

2) “Food and Beverage Management”
Programme
Education period: 2 years
The programme is elective and can be studied
only if a student has already been admitted to
the “Hotel Management” programme.
To receive a corresponding diploma one more
course per term is added to the general
schedule.

3) Professional Training Programme
Professional training programmes are short-term
courses lasting from 1 term to 1 academic year.
These programmes are designed for those who
already have a qualification in the same or
different sphere.
You may choose one of the following programmes:
- Food and Beverage Management Specialization, 1
year
- Hospitality Operations Certificate, 1 year
- Food and Beverage Management Specialization, 1
term
- Rooms Division Management Specialization, 1
term
One-year programmes include summer internship in
the best hotels of Turkey in accordance with the
obtained qualification.

Structure
Education is carried out according to the
modular system.

of each term students take exams in the learnt

EI-AH&LA Diplomas
Upon the completion of a two-year programme in
Russian or English departments students are
awarded with an
EI-AH&LA diploma.
Upon the completion of a professional training
programme students are awarded with a
specialization certificate that enables them to
start professional activity in the sphere of
hospitality and/or F&B.
Besides, students get a
certificate upon the completion and
successful pass of every exam.
Upon the completion of a 2-year programme
students can continue education in “Hotel
Management” or “Food and Beverage Management”
almost in every university in the world since
the qualification they receive doesn’t need
confirmation of the recognition. In the majority
of educational institutions in the USA, European
and Asian countries, these programmes graduates
are enrolled to the final years of similar
faculties
