Dear students
Choosing a profession is one of the most important decisions that a person can
make in life. In most cases it determines what the future will hold and the
career options that will be available. The level of success at making of your
life, what you desire will be influenced by this decision.
Tourism is one of the most promising and exciting career choices available
today. It gives you opportunities to visit different countries and cultures. The
possibility to work in an excellent climate, meet with interesting people and
broaden your horizons.
Nowadays the tourism industry is one of the most profitable sectors of the world
economy and is still a strongly and quickly developing sector. According to the
data of the World Tourist Organization (WTO) and the International Monetary Fund
tourism has come out on top in the world export of goods and services (532
billion dollars per year) since 1998.
For the last 50 years the average growth rates in tourism amounted to 7% a year.
It is considerably higher than the average annual growth rates in the world
economy as a whole. According to the forecast of WTO, in the next 20 years the
growth rates in tourism will be remain the same and the income will increase to
2 trillion dollars by 2020.
The Antalya College of Tourism is the ideal place for obtaining an education
relevant to this rapidly expanding global industry. Our students academic
progress is important, but the demand for our graduates in the tourism sector is
driven by relevant experience gained during their time with us. Many hotel
chains and leading tour operators seek out our students for employment on the
completion of their course.

The college participates in varied international programs for student exchange

specialists in hotel & tourism management.
One of our most exiting forthcoming projects, is to establish a training travel
agency, where all the functions will be carried out by our students. This will
give our students practical experience in a working environment and allow them
to develop business skills and leadership qualities relevant to the industry.
The Antalya College of Tourism is famous for its friendly and affable
atmosphere, which helps to develop the hidden talents and personal qualities of
students. In their free time students make video films, prepare reports for the
student radio, practice in graphic design, take part in cultural events or
advertising activities. All this widely varied experience will help students
progress to their future work in the tourism industry.
Every year the leading TV-channels and newspapers of Turkey, Russia and other
countries show the life of the college. Official government delegations and
diplomatic missions visit our educational center.
