Security
Antalya, as a popular tourism destination has security
as a major concern of the local government. During the
course of the summer season there will be as many as 8
million visitors to Antalya from many places in the
world. The police are well experienced and good at
dealing with foreign visitors and any problems they may
have. In terms of crime there is very little to mention
and is mostly limited to unscrupulous shopkeepers
charging tourists too much for goods.
In short, Antalya is a very safe and comfortable place
to live and work. As demonstrated by the wide array of
nationals from other countries who have chosen to make
this their home.
With regard to the security of our students the College
provides close supervision for our younger students
(Those being of less than 18 years of age.). They are
supervised at the college and also at their
accommodation. The college provides a staff member to
help and advise the students with any problems they may
have. The staff member is resident in the same building
as the students and is available 24 hours a day for any
emergencies or situations that may arise.
Medical
Medical insurance is required by the college and can be
provided by us. We sincerely hope that all the medical
insurance provides you with is peace of mind. However in
the event of an emergency or illness, swift treatment at
a good quality local hospital can be obtained without
having to worry about the cost.
Hospitals
With Antalya's high rate of visitors in the summer
season there are a great many hospitals available
providing high quality treatment in a suitable
environment.
Health
A long term stay in the mild Mediterranean
climate, has for many, been seen as a major health
benefit. Healthy eating and an outdoor lifestyle with
plenty of exercise is a definite bonus. There are many
opportunities for exercise with football, being almost a
national obsession for the Turks, being played in many
places. Swimming is also another popular local activity
facilitated by the easy access to the crystal clear
waters of the Mediteranean
The college is also in the process of building a sports
facility to be completed for the start of our 2008
courses where our students can exercise and compete in
various sports events arranged by the college.
